Recently I had the opportunity to visit with Melissa Canaday, Executive Director of the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation, an incredible organization created in 2007 by Heidi Ganahl, entrepreneur and founder of Camp Bow Wow. For anyone who might be unfamiliar with Camp Bow Wow, they are North America’s largest pet care service, operating at over 100 locations, as well as providing in-home care.
Bow Wow Buddies is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of dogs. Their efforts support canine cancer research, foster programs, spay & neuter efforts, assistance in disasters, animal welfare and shelter improvements. Wow! I met with Melissa to discuss their upcoming K-9’s Against Cancer event on September 12, 2010, and ways that Wishcuit and the Love Adds Up campaign could get involved. Throughout our visit I thought to myself once again about my belief that there are no chance meetings in life. We were meant to be in each others’ lives long before we knew.
There are so many ways to help our canine friends, and I know where I’ll be on September 12th…lending a paw to K-9’s Against Cancer. Care to join me?
