“I get by with a little help from my friends.” -John Lennon
I have posted many professional photographs on my blog, along with my own. The professional photos are easy to decipher from mine and the credit goes to Kristin Adams. She is an incredible photographer with a magnificent gift for capturing the spirits and personalities of animals. The love she feels for them is instantly felt and seen, as they gravitate to her like a long lost friend. She recently won several awards at the Professional Photographer’s of Colorado convention and I can’t think of anyone more deserving. We had an instant connection from the moment I spoke to her on the phone last spring, and a friendship was formed when we met for a photo session on Mother’s Day a few weeks later.Kristin and I hadn’t seen each other since the 438,000 Hour Fund Raiser in September. She graciously donated a portrait sitting and canvas print for our silent auction and was one of the many people who were instrumental in the success of the party that day. She stopped by today and spent a couple of hours just being my friend and proving once again what a wonderful person she is.
I know Kristin truly understands how I feel and the similarities in our pets goes beyond what many people can imagine. We both share our lives with deaf dogs and the health issues that they host on an ongoing basis. Her love for her dog Chino and the connection they share runs as deep as mine with Cain.
We shared many thoughts, as well as tears, this afternoon. She even shared her lap with 90-something pound Bear, and once again I am reminded of yet another friend Cain has brought into my life and a chime softly sings.
