When I left CSU, one of the last questions that I asked was if this cancer would cause you any pain or suffering and how I would know. I was told that you would just start to wind down. You might lose interest in things and become lethargic. You might quit eating or just start losing weight. I was told that I’ll know when the time comes so that I can make “the decision” before pain and a poor quality of life can become part of your life. So now every time you take a longer than normal nap or don’t get up in the morning to go feed the horses with me, I wonder.
