A 5.0 fairly well demarcated lung mass was present within the left caudal lung lobe. The preliminary biopsy results indicate that this is a bronchoalveolar carcinoma with evidence of local lymphatic invasion. Cancer! The word is as dark and empty as it sounds.
I’m presented with a new set of options. Again there are no guarantees. Chemotherapy scares the heck out of me and the thought of putting this substance into Cain’s body leaves me unsettled. I’m told that the dose given to animals is less than a human dose, therefore they don’t suffer the same side effects. Cain also suffers from a weakened immune system so his dose would be very small. I have to think.
